This family portrait session in downtown Birminngham was such a joy! Just a walk in their favorite park right around the time this guy and actually do the walking <3

Kat and Justin’s winter wedding day was a small, beautiful event with their closest family and friends. We lucked out with an amazing January day that ended with some fun running around in the rain. Watch to the end. Thanks to these two for being up for anything and for loving each other just right!
Thanks also to the lovely venues:

Family photos can be so simple and low pressure! Pick a place you love and feel at home in. Dress weather appropriate and something you feel yourself in. Don’t worry about that perfect shot. Have a nice time with your favorite people! Just a happy little life on a January day <3

Here is a sweet Birmingham gardens engagement session for you. I LOVE origin stories of families and couples. Kat and Justin have a nice dramatic one of meeting by chance on a night out when Justin was only in the same town as Kat for two days AND he lost his phone on said trip where he had just gotten her number. Luckily Kat’s number was saved in his contacts magically and here we are.
Kat and Justin are getting married tomorrow, rain or shine. They shine together so it really doesn’t matter. <3 Was that a nerdy thing to say on the internet even if I mean it? You, reader, think I am cool, right??

The most mellow, fun wedding day on a families property in Alabama. All the fur babies were included, which gives you a pretty solid idea of the vibe.

I have so many good feels over this winter family session. I have photographed this family FOREVER and am so touched that they have found ways to continue to work with me when we no longer live in the same state! I also just love to photography families with big kids. This time is just as fleeting as those tot years and I think it is so special to freeze a few of these moments in time. It was all relaxed silliness and definitely a good time <3 Scroll to the bottom to see photos playing games at the coffee shop! Thanks to Sacred Grounds for having us!

Wedding proposals are such a special thing to document. So maybeee dressing up for a fancy dinner AND planning the usual dog walk clued Sophie in on this surprise wedding proposal. I, personally, love it when things are not perfect. It gives you something that feels more genuine, tangible and leaves you with a sweet memory to laugh together about. It was so fun to document this part of Sophie and Blake’s happy story <3

This year started out with some lovely family sessions that I cannot wait to share! Happy new year!
My goals this year are to practice a daily delete from my 7,000+ nightmare of a personal email inbox, grow more herbs and add a little hustle to my photography business (more posting on here included so you will know right away if I am keeping up with any of this).
Thank you thank you thank you for all the love in 2025! Cheers to some good stuff ahead.

Looking for a holiday gift of a different beat? I am bringing you some holiday gift ideas to you in the next couple weeks. Not all toting my business but I am starting with photography, big surprise. Gift your honey a date/photo session where you do weird stuff, wear your old wedding dress (or whatever you want) and have a little adventure together!
