Mississippi bank family session

When trying come up with a portrait session location it is like a little puzzle each time…where will I and the client be coming from? What foliage is working right now? What time are we meeting and how is the light there at that time of day? How does the location fit with the family’s personality? Can we find a place that is unique and isn’t necessarily identifiable just by looking at the photos? These questions take time, effort and care to address the right way but it is always worth it! In this particular case everything boils down to rocks to throw + little boys = happy campers 🙂

Delaney’s 8 month session

I have decided to step out of my comfort zone and ramble on a little more often on my blog posts.  This session with little Delaney was a de-light (did you catch that?).  I photographed her parents for their engagement, wedding day and maternity photos and got the chance to meet her as a teeny tiny newborn.  I know I have already said this on social media but documenting the lives of so many great people over years (almost a decade for a few of my clients!) is something so special about this job.  Also, scroll to the end to see photographs of her new little two teeth!!
