More and more, with each year, I fall deeper in love with all the native fall flora. The truth is, I love all native plants but there is something about the golden rods and black-eyed susans that find their own way to flourish in all sorts of random locations, often in spaces that have been neglected. They are beautiful and resilient and create their own little ecosystem from what sometimes looks like nothing before autumn. We took a little camping trip and the campground turned out to be a little less pristine nature than we had anticipated but a big overgrown field that had been left unattended was full of all the beauties you see below (including my very own beauty that adventured around with me). Someday I hope to just live in a tent and travel around from woods to woods…
